Forest City Gear Promotes Mike Miller and Mark Javurek

June 16, 2025

Forest City Gear is proud to announce the promotion of two team members: Mike Miller to Program & Project Manager, and Mark Javurek to Manufacturing Operations Manager of Plant 2.

As Forest City Gear has grown, the Senior Leadership Team identified the need for a more streamlined project management process. Miller’s decades of experience and deep-rooted understanding of Forest City gear’s operations made him a perfect fit for Program & Project Manager. In this new role, Miller will lead key customer programs and play a pivotal role in advancing our project management model.

Miller began his career at Forest City Gear straight out of high school, joining through a local vocational program known at the time as Tech Prep. His first role in the Tool Room quickly expanded to include responsibilities in secondary operations. Demonstrating a strong aptitude for leadership and operational insight, Miller rose to supervise the Gear Finishing, Secondary, and Shipping & Receiving departments.

He later transitioned into the Business Development team, working in the Quoting Department and managing legacy customer accounts with a focus on production planning and service. This customer-centric mindset positioned him to lead high-volume production for a key customer cell, where he oversaw all aspects of scheduling and vendor coordination and served as the primary point of contact.

Most recently, Miller served as the Supervisor of the CNC Machining department at Roscoe Works. In this role, he has been instrumental in shaping the department’s growth and capabilities as it evolved into a critical part of Forest City Gear’s operations.

As Forest City Gear continues to expand, adopting a project management model for customer engagement is a strategic step forward. Miller’s depth of experience, internal drive, and strong customer relationships make him the ideal fit to lead this initiative. He will also contribute to the ongoing development of our capacity scheduling systems.

“We are excited to see Mike take on this important new role,” said Jared Lyford, Director of Operations. “His leadership and insight will add tremendous horsepower to our efforts to enhance our customers’ experience and drive performance across the board.”

Miller’s promotion leaves an opening at Roscoe Works’ CNC Machining department. Mark Javurek, previously a Manufacturing Engineer, has stepped into the role of Manufacturing Operations Manager of Plant 2.

In his five years at Forest City Gear, Javurek has maintained a track record for streamlining operations and driving process improvements, increasing Forest City Gear efficiency and customer satisfaction alike. According to Lyford, “Mark’s experience—both prior to FCG and within our Engineering team—combined with his natural drive for continuous improvement and system development will be a valuable asset to the Roscoe Works team as we move ahead.”
