Forest City Gear, an industry-leading manufacturer of fine- and medium-pitch custom gears, is proud to share that Mindy Young, shareholder and third daughter of Fred and Wendy Young, has been invited to join the Rockford Symphony Orchestra Foundation Board. Since 2007, the Board has been dedicated to financing and supporting the mission of the Rockford Symphony Orchestra.

“The Rockford Symphony Orchestra Foundation is instrumental to the mission of the RSO,” said Angie Theisen, Rockford Symphony Orchestra Communications and Development Director. “We are thrilled to welcome Mindy Young to the RSO Foundation Board which is made up of a select group of individuals who have a passion for music and the arts in general. Mindy’s enthusiasm and experience make her a perfect addition to our Board and we are grateful for her willingness to serve.”

Forest City Gear is dedicated to the continued investment in the greater Rock River Valley region. “Music and culture have always meant so much to our family,” said Young. “Our parents were longtime donors to the RSO, and my sisters and I are grateful that we can continue that passion for another generation.
