Making a Difference in Roscoe
November 13, 2017
We were excited to notice our very own Mike O’Brien in the Rockford Register Star on Thursday. He regularly volunteers with the American Red Cross, and last week he participated in an event at Ledgewood and Stone Creek Schools. According to the story, the students collected more than $1000 in loose change to be used by the Red Cross for hurricane relief and were rewarded with a Veteran’s Day flag ceremony to honor soldiers as well as fallen Rockford Police Department officer Jaimie Cox.
Giving back to the community is an important part of our mission at Forest City Gear and we are always heartened to see the impact that our team members make as they give of their personal time. If you aren’t a subscriber to the RRStar, stop by our front desk to see a printout of the article.
