Forest City Gear is pleased to share that President Kika Young has been appointed as Chair of the AGMA Annual Meeting Committee.

The Committee develops programming, curates networking opportunities, and selects future destinations for the AGMA/ABMA Annual Meeting. A member of the Committee since 2022, Young will step up as Chair based on a recommendation from the former Committee Chair, Jim Bregi of Doppler Gear. According to Leah Lewis, Director of Meetings & Events at the AGMA, the role of the Chair is critical to ensure that the member voice is heard when it comes to planning educational content for association leaders who attend the Annual Meeting.

“In a world where in-person connection is being replaced with technology—phone and video calls and emails—the AGMA Annual Meeting is the most important networking event of the year for our industry. Nothing replaces in-person connection, establishing friendships and points of contacts like an in-person connection,” says Young. “Whether you’re lamenting over your hiring woes, learning together listening to a world-class trainer, or sharing business strategies over a drink, the meeting has long been an integral part of FCG’s success within the industry.
