The ZEISS CONTURA systems will be dedicated to gear inspection and dimensional verification, helping Forest City Gear address increasing inspection demand while maintaining the tight tolerances required for precision gear manufacturing. The addition comes at a critical time, as growing CMM utilization across the shop had become a limiting factor for throughput.

The addition of the CTX Beta 450 TC brings advanced multitasking flexibility to Forest City Gear’s shop floor, allowing multiple machining operations to be combined into a single setup.

Young brings her years of manufacturing leadership experience to the GRCC, including deep expertise in precision gear manufacturing and aerospace supply chains. As president of Forest City Gear, she has championed the company’s continued legacy for investment in workforce development, advancing manufacturing, and regional economic growth.

The KNM 4X has advanced rotary axis alignment capabilities, giving Forest City Gear an important edge in high-precision inspection.

This year’s event brought together customers, suppliers, and team members for a day of friendly competition and raised approximately $5,300 to be split between scholarships through the AGMA and the RRVTMA.
